The Difference Between Fake And Real Flowers

By Sarah Johnson

Everyone agrees that decorating with flowers makes venues and places more lively and inviting. Flower baskets look really fantastic, and often make an occasion feel special. The question is, which type of flowers should you take: artificial or fresh flowers?

Part 1: Fresh Flowers

Traditionally speaking, fresh flowers are the way to go. Their shapes, scents, colors and general aesthetics all contribute to creating a great ambiance. There are so many several options, but it all depends on the season.

Still, you should also consider that fresh flowers won't last forever & probably cost more. Fresh flowers need maintenance & constant care. You should speak to your florist which flowers are in season and available locally, because flowers that aren't in season and/or imported tend to be more expensive. This way, you can have high-class, fresh floral arrangements without having to spend a fortune.

Part 2: Artificial Flowers

There are many types of artificial flowers to select from. The most popular at the moment are silk flowers. They are great because they require little maintenance, and are are very affordable & realistic. Aside from requiring only very little cleaning, some people claim they are unable to guess that they're artificial without taking a very close look!

Naturally, fake flowers also have some disadvantages. They do not give out the fresh scents that only fresh flowers have. You can fake it by strategically putting good air fresheners nearby, but it still won't be the same though.

Part 3: Which Is Better?

In selecting and deciding the types of flowers you need, there is no wrong and right answer. Everything will depend on your purpose or occasion. For serious home gardeners and for special occasions, fresh flowers are a fantastic choice. For indoor home and office decorations, good artificial flowers would probably be your best bet. Before investing in flower arrangements, ask yourself which kind is more practical for you and your budget. - 32376
